I attended the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and graduated cum laude with a journalism major and a Spanish minor. My interests and experience include magazine and newspaper journalism (print and web), communications and non-profit and social change organizations. My writing has been published in The Boston Globe, The Chicago Reporter, the Improper Bostonian, Go Overseas, LAN Only in South America, Global Voices and InSight Crime, among others. Based in Bogotá, Colombia, and fluent in Spanish, I seek out every possible opportunity for writing in and about Latin America. I'm currently the web editor of Latin Correspondent, an English-language site covering news from throughout Latin America.
